She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas and her law degree from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. While in law school, Monica continued pursuing her passion for criminal defense by engaging in an internship with the U.S Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Middle District of Florida. Originally from Boerne, Texas, she resides in Dallas with her husband David, a Senior Attorney at Thompson Coe. They are the proud parents of four boys, Davey, Daniel †, Gabriel, and Charlie.
